Black Gems

I made these hats with black rhinestones that came off a pair of used sandals.  Below are the original sandals with my foot (pink) and my friend's (purple).  The fit of the hat could be for dreads, or just wear it like a baggy beanie.

Rainbow Driftwood

Here is a beautiful beach that I went to in Victoria, BC.  I loved all the driftwood, especially the crazy driftwood fence in the background.

Above is a oil pastel I did on a little piece of driftwood.  Those are the Olympic Mountains.  Below is a view of that idyllic day on the beach.
Below are the driftwood drawings.  There are four animals and two landscapes done by my friends and I.  I did the rainbow animal at the top.  Jamuna did one I liked on redwood bark that looked like a topographic island.  I liked leaving them there for people to find!

Above, a piece of rainbow driftwood that was inspiring.  Someone at the beach said that it had been part of a cool fort.  I would have liked to see the whole fort!  Below is Jamuna, looking awesome and rockin her Africa cap and some beaded earrings I made in Peru.

Black Star Liner

This cap I made with ribbon I got in La Paz, Bolivia.  These are the colors of the Bolivian flag, so this ribbon is everywhere there.  The gold Africa is positioned off-center.  Instant classic.

Purple Cotton Cable

Vintage cotton yarn from Greece.  It feels really soft and nice.

New Styles

Above is a dread hat with off-white and bright ites.  It was inspired by my friend Swami who requested a cap with a vintage-Bob Marley look.

Above is a nice black dread hat with ribbing, inspired by another friend, Gumbo.  Below is a hat that was inspired by a beautiful black girl I saw downtown Santa Cruz wearing these colors.  Now that I look at it, I think this is the new red, gold and green beanie!

My Heart Hoodies

The one on the left I made with vintage mo-mo fabric and on the right I made with a scrap of fabric that I got from a friend in Peru.  The hoodies had some ugly brand on the front so that takes care of that!

Twin Girl Babies

These two hats I made with yarn that my Auntie Punkin sent me.  It's great when people give me old yarn that they can't use or don't want.

Oooo Laminates!

Here are some cool laminates that I just made for a party my friends are having.  They also might be called VIP passes.  I love getting out the markers and paper.  The gold hearts are made with chocolate bar wrappers, the gold names are made with stickers, and I drew oak trees with hanging moss on them.  Then I laminated them with clear tape.  I think I will use yarn for the lanyards.  Hope they look official!
