Monterey Bay Reggae Fest

DJ Dread Ramas wearing his brown brimmed dread hat.  Below he is wearing his new hat.

Michael with his solid ites crown that he has had for a few years now.
This brother has rocked this hat since the Kymani Marley concert where he bought it from me.  Below: a classic

Mother and daughter with matching headbands.  I made the one on the right.  Below: Lori got two nice hats.

Plum Crochet Shirt

Just like my white one but in this nice purple color.  The yarn is 100% vintage cotton from Greece.  I made another one which is a warmer magenta color.

Colored Seed Hoop Earrings

Sea foam green and Dark turquoise blue acai seeds.  The red seeds are not dyed; they are natural.  There is only one pair left!

Rainbow Up

I sewed a rainbow on a plain black tank top.

A Day's Work: Sewing Shirts!!!

Above is a black and metalic gold zebra print.  It is a size Small.  I made one more which is a size Medium.  The fabric is really light-weight and airy.  The belt is separate; I wove that in Guatemala.

Above is a green jersey fabric with the metalic gold zebra print Africa.  Size Large.
Above is a turquoise stretch terry fabric with vintage mo-mo flower heart! Size Large
Yeah, this one is my favorite.  The creamsicle.  Melon orange jersey with vintage lace.  Size Large.  I tried to make sure that they all fit me in case they don't sell I will keep them all!  So comfortable and stylie, I love these shirts!

Roots Jewelry: Seed Necklaces

These three are made with the seed hearts that I collected and drilled in the Bay Islands, Honduras, seeds from Brazil, and the new colors of acai seeds that I just got recently in Otavalo, Ecuador.
Above:  I loved this one; it sold right away.  Made with some nice vegetable ivory.
Below: I have been wearing this one myself. It may become another addition to the collection!

A Couple of Festival Pictures

Amy and Ashley.  Amy has on sea foam green acai beaded hoops and a beaded rainbow hat that I made to match my shoes.  Later I wished I had put a big gold heart behind the rainbow because the hat looks plain.  Ashley has on the sea foam green roots necklace.  Below is a couple who appreciated the beadwork I do.  The beaded necklaces they are wearing are actually tubular covers for the lanyards of their backstage passes.

My Crochet Shirts

Red sparkly mesh shirt, 100% cotton.  Roots necklace.  This picture is with Tuff Lion who is wearing his nice crown.  I made the crown in La Paz, Bolivia. Peace Crown!
Camping at the festival.  My two friends both picked out gold-colored beanies.  My head is gold-colored too!  My earrings are small Africas with gold chain made by my friend Eva.  My skirt is made by another friend, Cierra. Inspiring artists!  And that is my newest shirt- 100% cotton whites!
