Vilcabamba!

Here are a few pictures from a recent hike I took in Vilcabamba at the Rumiwilco nature preserve.  I loved it there!  Below is the biggest San Pedro cactus in the valley and also cactus wood.

Kerry´s Pretty Shoes

Just wanted to show off Kerry´s awesome moccasins.  Our friend who is an amazing artisan made them.  He works in leather and makes incredible bags as well.  We had a great visit with him and his family on the island of Portete, Ecuador.  These are blue suede with gold suede ties.

Mindo Beads3: Beads and Brownies!

My new beads I bought in Otavalo, Ecuador.

Managing my girl Kerry´s tent during carnaval weekend.  I was selling raw cacao paste, chocolate bars, brownies, coffee and earrings of course!  Kerry processes all the cocao and makes the chocolate.

 Cloud Forest!
Cute dog in Otavalo.

New earring design I learned.

Beautiful flower vine.

Mindo Beads2: Visit To My Bead Guru

New pattern I learned. It is called the Princess.
Kerry and I and little Sai.  I am using my personal pair of Pavo Real earrings and my new shawl that I made with magenta wool that I got recently in Otavalo, Ecuador.  Look at the baby´s smile!

My new beads!!

Kerry in her cafe wearing her amazing huge beaded earrings and a headband that I crocheted for her using the remainder of the magenta yarn.

My dear Colombian friends Freddy and Marina on an amazing hike we took to 5 plus waterfalls.

Kerry, Leo and Marina making Colombian-style arepas.

 Pavo Reals in blue.
Love this other new style I learned.

Mindo Beads

These are some huichol indian bracelets belonging to some friends I made.  Amazing designs!
I call these the Pavo Reals ( peacocks).
Here I am with a cute little dog named Canela (Cinnamon).
This is in Mindo, Ecuador.
Here is an activity at the plaza during carnaval.  I really liked the hot pink headscarfs.  They made a kind of may pole in the middle with ribbons and a beer bottle and then they let go of the bottle and it sprayed foamy beer!

New Beaded Earrings

These are elegant, royal earrings. They were inspired by my friend Lori who I recently was beading with.  She gave me some of the beads that I used.  Brown, gold, and turquoise.

Blue Flowers

This pair is awesome; I made myself a pair.

These are a knock-off of one of Kerry's color schemes!

Love these colors!

White, pink and green.  Very light and summery.
