God's Eyes

These are made from yarn and driftwood.  They are traditionally made by the Huichol Indians of Mexico.  This tribe makes them with spiritual intentions and purposes.  They are also made by Christians who identify with the symbol of the cross.  

Sierra Nevada World Music Festival 2017

This is one of my early hat designs from a few years back. It is a gold Africa patch with a camo background on black. This kid was rockin it on his pogo stick.

Green Beans!

These hats are made with high quality camel wool, which I purchased from a non-profit organization working to save snow leopards in Asia.  The texture, color and smell of this yarn is unique. This is the link to the website: https://www.snowleopard.org/

Rainbows and Roses

Above are beanies in beautiful color combinations of turquoise, pink, brown, lime and seafoam.  Some of my favorite colors; they sing to my heart! Back row has sold out already; front row remains for sale as of today, Earth Day!

Above is a hanging art piece I made in Brazil from pieces of fireworks cartridges that I found on the beach and colored with oil pastel.  Recycled art! 

I dug up some unique yarn from my collection for these new beanies. They are made with vintage yarns, earthtones, pinks and fuzzy yarns. At right is a magenta beanie with vintage cotton from Greece.

Coconut Earrings and Warm Beanies

Beaded earrings with polished coconut shell chips and bronze cones.  The colors are Marine Blue, Matte Beige, Light Olive Green 

 Three new beanies.  The two at left are made with vintage yarn and the one on the right is with 100% wool.  The wool smells sweetly and is thick and warm.

Harvest Time

A bouquet of glowing blooms! I made some of these pairs while traveling in India and Brazil, two very colorful places! Looking at them is like a color bath for the eyes.  They are radiant in the fall light.

This style reminds me of birds' wings. Beautiful color fades and symmetry.

These pairs are very elegant with the bronze and gold tones.  The two pairs to the left have a very Native American inspired pattern.  The pair at right is an African inspired design.

Fall Days

 

Above: This collection was inspired by a friend's request for a cream and gold color combination. What manifested were creations with bronze and gold cones and beads, natural coconut shell beads, facetted and metallic beads and of course turquoise and blues and greens. 

Below: A very different collection formed in response to an ever-popular trend: Hoops!  Made with African and Indigenous inspired color schemes and patterns, these earrings are light weight and of all sizes.

This style of earring combines the peyote flower pattern with the smaller star pattern at the top and loops with bugle beads.  The inspiration for these came from Christina who is also a bead artist. There are turquoise stones in the pair at the bottom right.  Jamuna's pair is at the bottom center.
