Pisaq, Sacred Valley, Peru

 Walking in the Sacred Valley.

My favorite mountain with amaranth growning at its foot.
 Ruins at Pisaq.
During a rain squall. Below is an iris.

I love these little red ponchos. Below is a dye vendor.  That olive green actually produces a purple dye.

Sky over the market.

Cusco, Peru

Me in a mega ribbon store.
Natural yarns in the market.  Also a ceramic container.
I absolutely love the hats that are picture above and below and are completely beaded with white beads and colorful pompoms and tassels.

Two hats that I made in Ecuador with yarn I got in Otavalo.  High percentage wool.
To the left is the view from where I set up to sell in Cusco.  Above is Agustin, from Lima, with his camo hat that he adores.

Huacachina Oasis

My cute friend Naoko from Japan and I climbing up the sand dunes.

 The mermaid of the oasis.
Naoko learning to do beads. Now I have a friend to visit in Japan someday!

Vilcabamba!

Here are a few pictures from a recent hike I took in Vilcabamba at the Rumiwilco nature preserve.  I loved it there!  Below is the biggest San Pedro cactus in the valley and also cactus wood.

Kerry´s Pretty Shoes

Just wanted to show off Kerry´s awesome moccasins.  Our friend who is an amazing artisan made them.  He works in leather and makes incredible bags as well.  We had a great visit with him and his family on the island of Portete, Ecuador.  These are blue suede with gold suede ties.

Mindo Beads3: Beads and Brownies!

My new beads I bought in Otavalo, Ecuador.
