Inspirations and Materials

I love this spray painted palm tree in my neighborhood!!  I like how the bright green of the tree shows through as an important part of the color scheme.  Turquoise, red, golden orange, lilac and lime green.

Above is some amazing hot pink and silver sequin trim.  With that is a dress I made from a vintage momo.  I wore it in Cuba where my friend bleached it and it got some rips along the hem so I re-inforced it with lace.
Below is a house in my neighborhood that has the most startling color combo but I love it- bright turquoise green with peach and black.

This was the scene at my house for a bit around Christmastime.  It shows part of my sunglass and necklace collections, tape measure, vintage crochet pattern, Steel Pulse flier, gold wrapping paper, ceramic tile, fabric wall hanging of shells, my hoodsie, a peach doilie,  and a pile of yarn of course.

Erica's Birthday!

Here is my friend Erica wearing the handwarmers I made her for her birthday and the scarf I knitted her for her birthday last year.  The handwarmers are made with an amazing wool yarn homespun on Cape Cod.

I also took pride in the wrapping job I did; that is a flower made of tissue paper.

Colorado Caps

Here Aubrey models a hat for her friend in Boulder.  It is black with a silver(grey) and purple zig-zag stripe and brim.

This is another hat made in the same style but different colors:  olive green with hot pink and beige.

This hat is my friend Rachel's, who is currently in Denver.

Rainbow rude gyals, aka donettes, aka news boys!  This is my up-to-date stock.

Here is Aubrey modeling her oatmeal cap that was gold promoted!

A Visit From My Bead Guru- Beading Baby Bonanza!

Here is my dear friend Kerry, my bead guru, with her beautiful son Sahel! We had such a great visit!  It was amazing...  They are modeling some hats here and get a load of the necklace that Kerry is wearing!!!!  I wish I had better pictures of them.  Kerry was wearing the most amazing earrings that I have ever seen which were beaded of course, and I was hypnotized but I have not mastered making them myself yet.

Here is my new, up-to-date display which are in the style of some of the ones that Kerry had.  I got three amazing pairs from her which filled me with joy and continue to when I see them and wear them.  This is the work that resulted from her inspiration to bead.  I'm thankful for the grounding meditation that it provides me too.

Beyond sunset inspiration

Gold, white, and turquoise have been my real favorite colors for a while!!
Bless up Yemaja
The camera is blinded by the intesity of the shine and radiance of color on these!
Island Life

Cosmic Roatans!  Mayan mermaids

Emerald Queens

Kerry's squashblossoms.  When my friend said he liked my squashblossoms I didn't know what he ment until I remembered I was wearing Kerry's earrings and realized they looked just like squashblossoms.  Mine don't look quite so much like them.  Kerry really does have a flower named after her!  Now one more.

Kerry's blast-off.  These are a pretty close to an exact copy of Kerry's design.  I think I heard someone ask her about us being in competition and I liked that she said it was okay because we live in different places.  I think she sells mostly in her own chocolate shop in Ecuador!  Kerry had some beautiful artesania such as her blue and green leather and shell purse. But, she is taking a break from beading right now.
My friend Billie liked these and told me she was in love with not-quite-a-rainbow when we were at the fleamarket in SC.  I liked her concept: not-quite-a- rainbow; Billie and I see I to I on fashion, art and design, it is great!
